The Community Fast
The Most Powerful Thing You Can Give Your Body Is Nothing At All.
What is Fasting?
Fasting is more than simply going without food It's a purposeful period of time without calories that allows your body to shift how it uses energy. As insulin levels fall, your body begins relying more heavily on stored energy. Fasting can be a simple, powerful tool to support metabolic health and energy.
Why Fast As A Community?
Change is powerful when we don’t have to do it alone. Even a short, intentional health practice can be easier to start, and more meaningful to sustain, when a group commits to it together. Research on group-based health interventions suggests that social support, shared commitment, and a sense of belonging can help reinforce healthy behaviours and create an environment where positive change feels more achievable.(1)
When you’re surrounded by others doing the same thing, the experience becomes less about willpower and more about shared commitment.
We’ll prepare together, begin together, and reconnect afterward. You’ll have the opportunity to learn about the physiology of fasting while also experiencing it firsthand.

The Science Behind Fasting
Fasting gives your body a temporary break from food, allowing it to shift how it uses energy. Research suggests that fasting can support:
Metabolic Flexibility
Helping the body to shift between glucose and stored fat for fuel.(2)
Insulin Sensitivity
Periods without food can reduce insulin levels and support healthy glucose regulation.(3)
Weight Management
Fasting approaches may support reductions in body weight and body fat.(3)
Cardiometabolic health
Research suggests fasting may improve markers such as triglycerides, blood pressure, and fasting glucose.(3)
Is a 24-Hour Fast Right for you?
Fasting isn’t appropriate for everyone.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have a medical condition, take medications that may be affected by fasting, have a history of an eating disorder, or have concerns about whether a 24-hour fast is appropriate for you, please speak with your healthcare professional before participating.
The Community Fast is an educational and group experience. It does not replace individualized medical care.
Please make the decision to participate based on what is appropriate for your own health and circumstances. If you’re unsure, speak with your healthcare professional before registering.

For years, my work has focused on helping people understand their health through nutrition, functional testing, protocols, and education. But there’s another side to learning about your health: experience.
I’ve worked with many clients using carefully considered fasting protocols, helping them understand how to prepare, what they may experience during a fast, and how to transition back to eating thoughtfully. That experience has shown me that fasting can be more than simply going without food; it can be an opportunity to observe how your body responds and to develop a deeper awareness of your relationship with food, energy, and metabolic health.
Sometimes, the best way to understand something is to step into it yourself, with the right preparation, guidance, and an opportunity to reflect afterward.
The Community Fast is the first in a series of experiences I’m creating around this idea. We’ll learn together, experience something together, and then come back together to make sense of what we learned.
I’m excited to have you be part of the first one.
